IT TOOK ME 4 YEARS TO WIN THIS LISTING 🤯🤯🤯
Not ashamed to say I nearly gave up a few times…
It’s bloody hard TBF:
- hearing “no” allllll the time
- seeing big brands dominate (still)
- going years without much progress
If you’re in this game too, here are a few things I’ve learnt along the way:
RESPECT YOUR BUYER 🫡
- there’s a very fine line between playfully getting their attention and peeing them off - so don’t cross it!
BE RIDICULOUSLY PATIENT 🫠
- this process can take years, so get comfortable being uncomfortable and learn from every setback or “no” that you get
BECOME A SUPER SPONGE 🧽
- your customers, suppliers, buyers are all people with lots to teach you. Listen to everyone and find out what’s working or isn’t working, how you can best serve them, and where your biggest opportunities lie
I feel INSANELY lucky to be here right now and I hope I can now help some of you learn something from all my setbacks along the way 🥹🙏
